Client: National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) (via DDC Public Affairs)
Role: Graphic & Motion Designer
While at DDC Public Affairs, I worked with a team of designers on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) project. NRECA is the trade association representing over 900 electric cooperatives across the United States. The Voices for Cooperative Power (VCP) campaign is a grassroots advocacy platform designed to amplify the voices of electric cooperative members and communicate the value of co‑ops to broader audiences through storytelling, digital engagement, and advocacy messaging.
Objective:
Develop a unified brand identity and visual system for the VCP campaign that clearly communicates the initiative’s mission, increases awareness, and provides a consistent visual language across a range of deliverables.
Deliverables:
- Brand identity and visual system
- Campaign collateral (print + digital)
- Social media graphics and motion elements
- Messaging templates for grassroots advocacy
- Interactive storytelling assets
Design Approach:
Collaborated with the team to build a distinctive yet adaptable visual system rooted in clarity and approachability. The identity balances engaging messaging with professional advocacy visuals that resonate with both cooperative members and external audiences. Consistency across formats ensured that the campaign’s mission was communicated effectively across touchpoints.
Impact / Usage:
The VCP brand system and assets were used across digital campaigns, social channels, and advocacy resources to support storytelling and grassroots engagement. The campaign helped reinforce NRECA’s efforts to give cooperative members a platform to share how electric co‑ops strengthen their communities and influence policy conversations nationally.
The projects above were created while working at DDC Public Affairs.
